Miss Danielle
Danielle graduated with her B.F.A. from Clarion University of Pennsylvania In college she was very active in the theatre department dancing, singing, and acting in numerous college productions. In 2000 she was given the honor of an Irene Ryan award for her role as Rosemary in William Inge’s Pulitzer Prize play “Picnic”. After graduation, Danielle went on to perform with the national tour of Sesame Street Live. She traveled the United States for numerous years playing the lovable characters of Bert, Baby Bear, Grover, and Grudgetta the Grouch. Danielle has been teaching at the Napoli School since 2008.
Danielle’s strengths as a teacher include her upbeat, exuberant personality and teaching style which is infectious to all of her students. She is also very patient, friendly and creative in her classes.
Miss Kathleen
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Dance and English from DeSales University. Ms. Glynn is the co-director of a Modern Dance Company, coEXISTdance, which is based in Philadelphia. She has presented her work at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, INhale Performance Series, ETC. Performance Series, and the American College Dance Festival. Ms. Glynn has previously interned for Dance Spirit Magazine in Manhattan, NY and Repertory Dance Theater in Emmaus, PA. She contributes to “The Dance Journal,” part of PhiladelphiaDANCE.org, and she is a certified Zumba instructor. She is also a dance instructor at an elementary school in Philadelphia, where she works with grades K-6.
Kathleen’s strengths as a teacher include her calm demeanor and her ability to connect with her students. Although Kathleen teaches dance full time, her past experience working with toddlers in a daycare has enhanced her understanding of children and helped to shape her teaching style.
Miss Loren
Loren Groenendaal earned an MFA in Choreography. She also holds a BA in Dance and Visual Art from Oberlin College and is currently studying Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals. She has a decade of experience teaching creative movement, modern dance and hip hop to youth and adults.She has also taught at many after school programs, summer camps, and studios in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina. University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her choreographic work has been seen in the Philly Fringe Festival and the North Carolina Dance Alliance Annual Event Choreographer’s Showcase as well as being supported by a residency at the Abington Art Center and the CEC’s New Edge Mix. She is currently dancing in her own work and with Lacy James, Katherine Kiefer Stark, Gamelan Semara Santi, and the Indonesian Cultural Club.
Loren’s strength’s as a teacher include her vast knowledge of many different styles of dance and her patient, positive demeanor that she exhibits when she teaches her classes.
Miss Lori
Miss Lori began her dance training at the young age of two. She continues her dance training by attending multiple dance teacher workshops around the country each year including Pulse, ITDI, and Dance Teacher Summit.
For the past six years she has been teaching tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, theater and creative movement to preschool children through adults. She has received her Elementary Education degree at West Chester University and in her spare time, she enjoys volunteering and substituting for local elementary schools working with special needs students. Miss Lori is certified in child and adult CPR and emergency first aid.
Miss Stacy
Stacy holds a B.F.A. from the University of the Arts. Ms. Stacy began dancing when she was three years old and started teaching classes at the age of sixteen. She is a well-rounded dancer and instructor with teaching skills in the disciplines of ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and creative movement.
Ms. Stacy studied with the Chester County Ballet Company and became a Soloist in 1995 and Principle Artist in 1997. She was also a member of Philly Jazz and the Starlight Tap Ensemble. She performed in thirteen annual productions of The Nutcracker including roles as Clara, The Snow Queen and The Sugar Plum Fairy. Ms. Stacy has performed across the Philadelphia area appearing on WPVI with Al Albert’s Showcase as well as productions at the Claridge Hotel, Valley Forge Music Fair, the DuPont Hotel, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute and the Court of Lincoln Center in New York. She also performed as the entertainment for the Mrs. Pennsylvania Pageant and the Mrs. New Jersey Pageant at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Other notable performances were at the Merriam Theater and the Drake Theater in Philadelphia.
Stacy has many strengths as a teacher. She will never forget her first dance class or her first recital and it means so much to her to be part of such an important experience in every dancer’s life. She loves dancing and nothing makes her happier than to share that love with each and every student that walks through the studio door. This will be her 8th season with Napoli.
